Look ahead for August 10th, 2015

Notes from the Principal:

Thank you for a great first week of school.  I feel it has been the best of my three years in the building.  Continue to push those procedures and routines.  It is also important that you continue to get to know your students.  How well you know your students and their needs will help tremendously as Learner First continues to be implemented.

How often do you as a classroom teacher get, and more importantly, keep your students in a stretched "zone" of learning?  How often do we ourselves get out of our comfort zones and stretch our abilities to reach students with a lesson or activity?

Things to think about for when I come by your rooms throughout the week:
- What specific, measurable, goals do you have for your class and grade level?
-  Are you maximizing instruction time or are you classes losing time for bathroom visits, poor hallway procedures and lack of preparation?
- How are you measuring student progress and how are your grades looking?
- Where is your comfort zone right now with your students and subject areas?

Generic Morning Announcement:  We will discuss whether we want to continue announcements through YouTube or revert back to the way it was done when teachers used chalk boards and ditto machines.
