Look ahead for March 21, 2016

Notes from the Principal:

I hope everyone had a restful Spring Break and are ready to hit the ground running.

We have a pretty easy week coming back from the break.  I have a title one meeting on Tuesday and and all day Learner First Meeting on Thursday.

I would like that the mixed method assessments in Lighthouse, this time for all your students, be completed by this Friday.  This is the process where you use multiple data points to assess how "on track" your students are in the areas of reading and mathematics.  Completing these by Friday will free us up for the remaining three plus weeks to focus, polish and prepare on the OCCT exams.

Speaking of OCCT exams; we are finalizing the testing schedule and should have that in everyone's hands by weeks end.  I do ask that everyone take part in the testing process to help lighten everyone's load as well as see, first hand, the process we ask our students to go through in taking these standardized exams.

Make every moment count with your kiddos.  Have a sense of urgency in everything you do. Continue to work hard for our kiddos.

Once the student has successfully logged on, they will then select either STAR Early Literacy (K-1), STAR Reading (2-6) or STAR Math (2-6).  After selecting an assessment, the student will need to select the class labeled reading. The student will then proceed with the pre-test. Once the student has completed the pre-test, a box will pop-up asking for a monitor password to advance to the real assessment portion.  Please note that the student will select the class labeled reading for both STAR Math and STAR Reading after they select the designated assessment from their dashboard.
