Look ahead for October 26th, 2015

Notes from the Principal:

Welcome back.  I hope everyone got to rest, relax and do some things that are put on the back burner while we are working with kids.

This week we celebrate Red Ribbon Week.  Students, and staff, who participate do not have to be in uniform.  Ms. Ingersoll sent out a flier and has done a good job putting the activities together.  She deserves a ton of credit for her hard work and dedication.

    Blog for October 5th 2015

    Notes from the Principal:

Another big week ahead of us.  Lots of things on our agenda this week but the good thing is fall break is five days away.

We have 16 teachers ready to go for Intersession... we need to make sure that they have enough kiddos to teach those three days!!!

Let's have a great week.  Continue to maximize instruction time by keeping that sense of urgency in everything we do.  Thanks for your continued hard work and dedication to teaching the students at Hayes Elementary.

    Weekly Staff Spotlight:
    Esther Ingersoll - Pre-K Asst.

Ms. Ingersoll was born and raised in Bolixi, Mississippi, Jack Ingram sings an excellent song about Biloxi by the way, but she calls El Paso, Texas home.  She and her family visit El Paso as often as they can.  Raised in a military family, she married a National Air Guardsman three years ago.  She has two sons named Eli and Lucas.  She continues her educational career by attending Rose State College and has a passion for working with children.  She loves working at Hayes Elementary along with the staff and students.

Esther is allergic to Chocolate, even the smell gives her a headache.  She doesn't have a "green thumb" and has trouble keeping any green plant alive, but her motto is "save the trees."

She is addicted to Game of Thrones, Grey's Anatomy, and Empire.  Every second Tuesday you can catch her at Hayes Elementary's skate night and, like her mother, she frequents Old Chicago on Wednesday evenings for trivia.
